Saturday morning practice periods are held in person (when possible) at GBZC Cambridge, with remote practitioners also participating via zoom, from 9:00am-12:00pm. See this Instructions Document for details and zoom link.
Saturday events always include Zen liturgy, 25-minute periods of zazen, and brief periods of walking meditation. On the 1st Saturday of the month, a Dharma Talk by a senior teacher is offered, starting after the second sit. On the 2nd and 5th Saturdays, the focus is on silent meditation. Dokusan (private meetings with teachers) is offered, starting after the first sit, on 4th Saturdays. The upcoming schedule is announced in the Newsletter and on the website.
You are invited to attend all or any portion of the activities–whatever works for your schedule and inclination. For all sittings, you are free to leave at any time though leaving between meditation periods is best.
Orientations for newcomers are held on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at 8:25am. To arrange an orientation please contact the Practice leaders at [email protected].)
