The rituals and ceremonies of Zen help us to deepen our religious spirit and to extend its vigor to our lives. Also, ritual is an opening for the experience of forgetting the self as the words or the action become one with you, and there is nothing else.

The longer we practice, the more opportunity we have to learn the Zen forms. The details about our forms for regular GBZC practice periods is described in this document.
You may also want to consult the Glossary of Zendo Terms for definitions of some of the words we use.
But don’t worry at all if you can’t follow these perfectly! (We often say that our practice is “one continuous mistake.”)
