Schedule Summary

In response to COVID-19, Greater Boston Zen Center in Cambridge is closed until further notice. Many of our programs have transitioned online, as described in Virtual Programming and Cancellations.

What follows are the usual programs at GBZC-Cambridge:

The main weekly programs at the Greater Boston Zen Center include Zen meditation sessions, chanting, and either a talk or opportunities to meet with a teacher. These programs take place at GBZC take place as follows:

o Tuesday evening: 7:00-9:00
(meditation, chanting, and Dharma talk or interviews--free beginner's orientation by arrangement at 6:25)

o Wednesday evening: 7:15-9:15
(meditation, chanting, and Dharma talk or interviews--free beginner's orientation by arrangement at 6:45)

o Thursday mornings: 8:00-8:30 AM
(meditation and chanting.  No orientations.)

o Friday mornings: 6:30-7:30 AM
(meditation and chanting.  No orientations.)

o Saturday morning: 9:00-Noon
(meditation, chanting, or Dharma talk or interviews--free beginner's orientation by arrangement at 8:25)

Third Mondays, 7:00-8:30pm, Person of Color Sitting Group

Second Thursdays, 7:15-8:45 PM, Realizing Genjokoan Study Group

Last Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 PM Writing as Spiritual Practice

One Saturday a month: All-Day (9:00-4:30) Sit

Weekend two day Commuter Retreats held two times a year
